F. Documentation: Ensures that data is gathered and accurately documented information in a timely manner demonstrating the utilization of the appropriate process to promote patient outcomes.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Graduate of an accredited BSN Nursing Program and Masters Degree is required.
Registration/Certification: ACLS, PALS, BLS, NRP, and first aid certification is required.
Licensure: Must be licensed as a RN by the State of Alaska.
Experience: Five years of hospital clinical nursing experience is required with three years in a supervisory or administrative capacity.

This position requires a current Alaska RN license as well as either an Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing. External Description: Are you a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) with at least three years experience in clinical practice? Are you dynamic, upbeat, and personable? Come join a world class team in the nationally recognized Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Providence Alaska Medical Center. The NNP manages the neonatal patient case load with consultation, collaboration, and general supervision from a physician, and utilizes extensive knowledge of pathophysiology, pharmacy and physiology. The NNP exercises independent judgment in the assessment, diagnosis, and initiation of certain medical processes and procedures. These skills may be used in the delivery room, on transport, or with infants and pediatric patients within the hospital. The NNP is additionally involved in education, consultation, and research at various levels. Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program required. Master’s degree, preferred. Must have current RN license in the State of Alaska. Must have a current Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) license in the State of Alaska upon completion of department orientation and within 90 days of hire.
