As Department Manager II, you will manage and control various aspects of the Caring for Caregivers Department. Your work will provide oversight and direction of non-clinical support services to fellow caregivers at the Cleveland Clinic, such as gifts and resources to next of kin, coordination of Mental Health First Aid training and promotion of team services at fairs/events. In this position, you will also receive education and access to growth opportunities through weekly team meetings, one-on-one leadership discussions and ongoing success coaching.
A caregiver in this position works a flexible, hybrid schedule from 8:00AM - 5:00PM.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
- Manage department personnel and operations which includes staffing, training, workflow analysis and performance management.
- Manage staffing to ensure appropriate allocation and compliance with goals and objectives.
- Monitor quality and financial performance.
- Ensure compliance with government health regulations, JCAHO guidelines, quality requirements and customer service standards.
- Recommend enhancement and cost saving strategies.
- Resolve interdepartmental issues to ensure consistency in quality, procedures and policy application.
- Develop, monitor and implement programs to enhance customer service, develop skills and improve scope of service.
- Analyze programs and make improvements.
- Participate in meetings and relevant committees as assigned.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
- Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Health Care Administration or a related field and four years of supervisory or management experience OR Associates Degree and six years of experience OR Masters Degree and three years of experience
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
- Healthcare experience

Physical Requirements:
- Manual dexterity sufficient to operate office equipment
- Extended periods of sitting, standing and walking
