Job Description
Provides direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice. This includes Labor & Delivery, Post Partum and Newborn Nursery.
Reports to: Director Med Surg and Women's

Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family. Drag Edit Delete
Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation. Drag Edit Delete
Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs. Drag Edit Delete
Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances. Drag Edit Delete
Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
Qualifications: Minimum Education

American Heart Association or American Red Cross Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required upon hire or must be obtained within 90 days of employment, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required within 12 months of employment

Minimum Work Experience
Minimum of six months to one year experience as RN in a hospital medical/surgical setting or L&D setting preferred
