Skilled Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

We are seeking a Skilled Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team.

Location: Carrollton, GA 30117
Employment Type: Part-time
Compensation: $15 per hour

Working Hours:

• Monday to Friday
  11am to 10pm

Part-Time – Full-Time
 

• Every other weekend
  Morning: 7am – 2pm
  Evening: 2pm – 10pm

Key Responsibilities:
Must have the following skills below:

• Provide care for a completely bedbound MS patient in a hospital bed using a Hoyer lift or other mobility aids for safe transfers.
• Assist the patient in safely transferring between bed and power wheelchair using a Hoyer lift or other mobility aids.
• Ensure proper positioning in bed and wheelchair to prevent pressure sores and promote comfort.
• Perform hygiene and grooming tasks, including bathing, oral care, and dressing, while maintaining patient dignity.
• Monitor and maintain the power wheelchair, including ensuring it is charged and functioning properly.
• Support with feeding, meal preparation, and setting up the patient in the wheelchair for meals when appropriate.
• Safely administer tube feedings according to the prescribed care plan, ensuring hygiene and proper technique.
• Monitor and maintain the feeding tube, including cleaning and checking for blockages or signs of infection.
• Monitor vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, and report any changes promptly.
• Perform light housekeeping, including changing bed linens and maintaining a clean and safe environment.
• Assist with range-of-motion exercises to prevent muscle stiffness and maintain joint flexibility.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to improve the patient’s mental well-being.
• Collaborate with the supervising nurse or care team to follow the care plan and adjust as needed based on the patient’s condition.

Qualifications:

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Georgia.
• 3 to 5 years of CNA experience, including proficiency with hoyer lift usage.
• Skilled Nursing Home experience
• Dependable, compassionate, and skilled in providing high-quality care.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience in a home care setting is preferred but not required.
