Referral Bonus when referring nursecolleagues!** **Competative Pay:** LPN \$35.00 - \$39.04 per hour**Essential Job Functions:** Reasonable accommodations may be made toenable individuals with disabilities to perform the essentialfunctions. - Provide basic nursing care such as checking blood pressure,inserting catheters, and helping comfort patients by performing taskssuch as changing and dressing - Document accurate and ongoing assessmentof patient status: Document patient care, including nursingintervention, patient response to care provided, patient needs,problems, capabilities, limitations, and progress toward goals -Communicate with RNs and physicians regarding patients? needs -Collaborate with other nurses and health team members to ensurepatients? wellbeing - Teach patient/significant other appropriate healthinformation in a timely manner and share written informational material,as applicable. - Perform direct patient care, using establishedprocedures, policies, and standards - Prepare and administer medicationsaccording to policy and procedure. - Observe and document patients?responses to pertinent medications. - Demonstrate ability to handleemergency situations in a prompt, precise, and professional manner. -Admit, transfer, and discharge residents as required. - Performadministrative duties such as completing medical forms, reports,evaluations, charting, etc., as necessary. - Receive phone orders fromphysicians and record on the Physician?s Order Form. - Chart all reportsof accidents/incidents involving residents. Follow establishedprocedures. - Verify the identity of each resident before administeringthe medication/treatment. - Ensure adequate medications, supplies, andequipment are available. Report needs to DON. - Ensure narcotic recordsare accurate for your shift. - Notify DON of all drug and narcoticdiscrepancies. - Give a thorough, concise report at change of shift.Communicate pertinent information to the appropriate person in a timelymanner. - Performs all job responsibilities in accordance with safetyand infection control policies and procedures, including thorough handwashing, use of disposable gloves where indicated and proper disposal ofsoiled materials.
