Job Summary: The RN Pre-Cath Lab prepares patients for cardiac catheterization or related procedures. This role involves collecting medical histories, verifying required tests, and ensuring patients are educated about the procedure and potential outcomes.

• Review patient histories, including medications and allergy information, prior to cath lab procedures.
• Initiate IV access and complete any necessary pre-procedure lab work.
• Ensure informed consent is obtained and all required documentation is complete.
• Educate patients on cath lab procedures, addressing questions or concerns.
• Coordinate with cardiologists, cath lab technicians, and other team members.

• Pre-procedure units in hospitals specializing in cardiac interventions.
