An Inpatient Registered Nurse provides comprehensive care to hospitalized patients, supporting them through recovery or managing chronic conditions. This role involves assessment, care planning, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform head-to-toe assessments and monitor patient status throughout the hospital stay.
- Administer medications and therapies as prescribed.
- Educate patients and families on care plans, hospital policies, and discharge instructions.
- Document patient information accurately, ensuring continuity of care between shifts.
- Work with physicians, therapists, and social services to coordinate comprehensive treatment.
- Typically in acute care hospital units (medical-surgical, telemetry, etc.).
- Involves extended patient stays and focus on patient-centered holistic care.
