WebTPA was founded by current President and CEO, Michael McCabe, in 1993. In 2006, WebTPA was acquired by AmWINS Group, Inc., the largest insurance wholesaler in the United States. Operating autonomously with over 12% annualized growth since acquisition, WebTPA is licensed to offer benefit administrative services in all 50 states and currently provides administrative services to more than 645,000 members nationally. Our average client size exceeds 5,400 members, and we’re proud to maintain an annual client retention rate of 93%. More than 350 team members across 3 offices now represent WebTPA, and we continue to grow every year. Our staff consists of benefit experts in the fields of Member Service, Claims, Eligibility, Bundled Payment Programs, and Medical Data Analytics. WebTPA’s major market segments include Medical Provider and Hospital-Based Employee Health Benefit Plans, Administrative “white label” Outsourcing for major insurance carriers, large Self-Funded Employer Groups, Bundled Payment Programs and American Indian / Alaska Native Tribal Health Plans. This market segment diversity has resulted in WebTPA’s ability to successfully administer complex benefit designs across a wide variety of plan types, including, but not limited to: Student Accident, Sports and Catastrophic Coverage, Limited Medical Plans, Short-Term Medical Plans and Major Medical Plans. A majority of our self-funded employers group clients utilize narrow networks or direct contracting strategies with the local health systems in their communities. Groups implementing these creative solutions with multiple network tiers have been able to realize better cost management and quality control. Many of our clients with onsite clinics have engaged us to capture the clinic data and integrate that experience data with members’ other healthcare claim activity to truly capture the complete picture of members' health.
