Certified/Registered Medical Assistant
Job Description
We are looking for a Medical Assistant to assist the provider throughout the clinic. The role includes a variety of tasks such as lab draws, paperwork, vital signs, scheduling, and maintaining patient charts.
Responsibilities
- Primarily responsible for lab draws for all patients
- Occasional paperwork, including intake forms, vital signs, and scheduling
- Prepare and maintain patient charts, including insurance, registration, correspondence, laboratory and radiology reports
- Track and request patient records, slides, and films; document as necessary in the charts
- Schedule and coordinate appointments, scans, and tests; confirm appointments; notify appropriate departments of daily and weekly patient schedules
- Receive incoming calls to assist patients, physicians, and others with patient-related matters
- Relay diagnostic test results to patients per physician's discretion
- Conduct follow-up phone calls to patients with problems and "no-shows"
- Perform BP, TPR, and weight measurements on each patient; alert the physician of any abnormalities
- Perform medical history on each patient prior to being seen by the physician
- Maintain medical supplies in each exam room and office supplies in the clerical area

- Family Medicine / Primary Care Clinic
- Monday - Friday / 8:00am-5:15pm
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.50/hr.
